Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. What types of photography do you do?

I work across a wide range of photography styles and subjects, including family, maternity, newborns, pets, events, wildlife, real estate, and more. My photography style is natural and focuses on capturing genuine moments. Sessions do not include heavily stylised or glamour-style edits; images are delivered with gentle retouching or subtle enhancements only.

Q2. Where are you based, and will you travel for a photography session?

I am based in Glenden, Queensland, and I travel for photography sessions across rural and remote areas. Travel to the session location is included in your session fee as specified on your invoice. Additional travel fees may apply for locations outside the originally agreed area, and these will be communicated and agreed upon prior to the session.

Q3. How long will it take to get my photos back?

Edited images are typically delivered within 12 weeks of the session date, depending on my schedule. As I work part-time and travel frequently for sessions, delivery times may vary slightly.

Q4. Do you offer printing services with my digital images?

Your high-resolution digital images are delivered through an online gallery via Pixieset. You can select the images you wish to print, which can be sent directly to a professional print lab. Prints, canvases, or frames can be ordered, and delivery is handled by the print lab.

Q5. What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

  • Rescheduling: Requests are accepted up to 30 days prior to the session date, subject to availability. For bookings made less than 30 days in advance, rescheduling is at my discretion, and deposits may be forfeited.
  • Cancellations: Must be provided in writing. The holding deposit is non-refundable. If cancellation occurs after the final balance is paid or within 30 days of the session date, the full session fee may apply.
  • If I need to cancel due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered a full refund or an alternative date.

Q6. How many photos will I receive?

Each session and package is tailored to your needs. After the session, you will receive a gallery of images to select from according to your package. Additional images can be purchased for an extra fee. Images captured outside the originally scheduled session hours may require payment for the additional session time before they are released.

Q7. What should I do to prepare for my session?

Clients are responsible for arriving prepared, including appropriate clothing, footwear, and any props or accessories. I can provide guidance in advance to help you prepare. Outfit changes are welcome but must be completed in a timely manner so session time is not reduced.

Q8. What about children or pets during the session?

Clients are responsible for the behaviour of children or pets during the session. I will make reasonable efforts to engage and manage children or pets for photography purposes; however, excessive misbehaviour or disruption may affect the variety, composition, or quality of images captured. Refunds, reshoots, or additional images cannot be provided in these circumstances.

Q9. What if the weather is bad on the day?

I will make every effort to proceed as scheduled. However, for safety or to protect equipment, I may pause, reschedule, or, if necessary, cancel the session due to adverse weather (rain, high winds, flooding, lightning). Deposits will be applied to the new session date.

Q10. What is an ‘Unplugged Wedding,’ and why should we have one?

An unplugged wedding is when guests are asked to put away phones and cameras during the ceremony. I recommend it because:

  • Guests won’t get in the way, allowing me to capture all the important moments.
  • You will see your guests fully engaged, without their attention on devices.

Q11. Can I edit or share my images?

Clients receive a personal-use licence for all images. Images may not be edited, retouched, or published without my written permission. Commercial use requires additional written permission.

Q12. Are there any safety or liability considerations I should know about?

Rural or outdoor sessions may include uneven terrain, livestock, or natural hazards. Clients are responsible for following safety guidance, ensuring personal safety, and keeping any animals under control. I exclude liability for direct, indirect, or consequential loss, including injury or property damage, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
